Quick Reference: Alpha Agonist Dosing

Guanfacine (Intuniv)

  • Dose range: 0.5mg - 7mg daily
  • Titration: Start low, increase weekly
  • Response rate: ~30% as first-line

Clonidine (Kapvay)

  • Dose range: 0.1mg - 0.5mg daily
  • Titration: Start low, increase weekly
  • Note: Try if guanfacine ineffective
